Job Overview:
As the Project Manager in Heavy Lifting and Transportation, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing large-scale projects in various industries, including oil and gas, construction, and manufacturing. You’ll ensure that each project meets our high standards for safety, efficiency, and client satisfaction. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented, solution-driven professional with a passion for logistics and a strong understanding of heavy-lift equipment and transport.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Coordination: Develop project scopes, goals, schedules, and budgets in alignment with client requirements and regulatory standards. Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure all logistical and technical requirements are met.
- Execution & Oversight: Manage day-to-day project activities, including resource allocation, equipment selection, and compliance with safety protocols. Oversee heavy-lift and transportation operations, coordinating with engineers and field teams for successful project delivery.
- Safety & Compliance: Prioritize safety in all aspects of project execution. Ensure that all operations comply with company, local, and industry safety standards. Conduct safety briefings and regularly monitor compliance.
- Budget & Resource Management: Develop and track project budgets, manage resources efficiently, and address any deviations in costs or schedules. Provide accurate reports to senior management.
- Client Relations & Communication: Act as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring clear and proactive communication. Address client concerns and adapt to changing project requirements to maintain high levels of client satisfaction.
- Risk Management: Identify, analyze, and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle. Develop contingency plans and respond quickly to project issues as they arise.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Logistics, or a related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in project management within heavy lifting, transportation, or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of heavy-lift equipment, transport logistics, and safety regulations.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification preferred.
- Exceptional problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
